The short version
AWS Labs publishes the AI-DLC workflows as open files under the MIT-0 license, so teams can add them to tools such as Claude Code, Kiro, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot. Community members have built plugins and skills around them too.
That is a good way to try the methodology. It is free, and it stays in the repo. The limit is that it lives in one person’s coding session. SignalsAI AI-DLC puts the same methodology in a shared workspace, so stakeholders, developers, and agents work in one thread, and the decisions and specifications stay attached to the work.
